Welcome to KK International School.

We are very excited to bring a fresh, new approach to early years education (0 – 6+ year old) in Mae Sot. Our ‘child-centred’ approach integrates the British Curriculum ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ with Mostessori concepts to deliver Project-Based STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) Teaching and Learning. Through these approaches, We aim to prepare children for the future with 21st Century skill known as the 4Cs :

Communication

Collaboration

Creativity

Critical Thinking

KK groups children according to their age

and stage of development

Early Years

(Pre-school)

In the preschool, KKIS has developed 12 Areas of Learning and Development based on Early Years Foundation Stage and British National Curriculum standards. These areas are delivered through pre-developed lesson plans with a focus on ‘life skills and project-based learning, English language and Maths. The life skills component is delivered through providing daily structure for students in the form of routines, behaviour management and self-regulation –
care for belongings, eating, drinking, packing away, dressing, sleeping and toilet training

Primary

The primary school is also guided by the British Curriculum and follows the framework set out
by the Cambridge International Primary Program with 10 core subjects. Project-based learning
activities enhance learning and understanding by mirroring themes in the textbooks with
practical problem-solving. This combined approach of academic and applied, practical
experiences are embedded with 21st Century skills known as the 4Cs
